Garden State of Mind

Dropping by very quickly as am at the public Library (see this post for an explanation).

Can't stop listening to the Garden State soundtrack. It has introduced me to the likes of Colin Hay and Frou Frou and numerous others that I can't recall because I forgot the CD in the van.

Go to the above link and listen to the sample list. Intriguing and thoughtful music.

The Nick Drake and Simon & Garfunkle both really stuck in my head during the movie. Looks like a soundtrack that I'd really enjoy.

Z, I love the S&G song. It was one that I didn't recognize until I bought the CD. I also loveZero 7, Iron Wine, and Nick Drake. I read that Zach chose each of these himself songs to accompany the film. I thought they were well placed in the scenes, too.

Okay, you have made me very ready to see this movie, with all of your comments on it! Wish we could have made it to the Ragtag when you were here! I hate it that I didn't experience any foreign or independent films with you when you were here since they are your Passion!

Kris, I think you will really enjoy it. There are a few scenes (which we have discussed) that I think your "J" has learned to allow past in the name of artistry.

I've got to see this movie, if for no other reason than because the term "A Garden State of Mind" makes me think of some guy on the Turnpike saying "Giddadaheeya"!

And I DO come over here. Really! Almost every day, in fact. But feel free to keep batting those lashes!

O.K. Robert, just making sure...
