Just to let you know.. mom's party went well, she was very surprised!
I knew it would turn up :) But NOW I have that song stuck in my head
"Take me home, country road, to the place, where I belong, West Virginia, Mountain Momma, take me home....country road."
I may have to go find a Rob Zombie song to balance it out.
Posted by: Randy at November 23, 2004 10:54 AMWhere was it? I am so glad you found it!
Thanks for reminding me that you are going home. I wish I was. We were suppose to go over Christmas, but the doc frowned on that.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving.

The grass is just turning green here. A sure sign winter has arrived! :)
Posted by: Ith at November 23, 2004 05:13 PMSally- great! Please hug and kiss mom for me.
Randy- Rob Zombie? Off to find a sample.
Amy, I would think that you would have more than cankles if you attempted a 24 hour drive that late in the pregnancy. Thank you :D You, too.
Ith- is it really turning green there? Is that typical for that part of the country?
Thank you everyone for your well wishes concerning my coat. It was underneath a pile of summer clothes that needed to be sorted and put away. (Insert pink cheeks here....)
Posted by: Rae at November 23, 2004 05:59 PMYep. Our grass turns green with the first sprinkles of Autumn, and get increasingly green through the winter the more rain we get. In late spring they start to turn brown. Or golden as us natives say [g]. My friend Jen who is a transplant from the East coast says, "They're Brown!!" :)
Posted by: Ith at November 24, 2004 10:07 AMYes, the best time to live in California is during the winter. Temps are cool and everything is green ('cept the trees that drop their leaves.)
God loves me so much that when I returned to California from Ohio after college he gave us El Nino, which kept things green well into summer and snow on Mt. Baldy until July. He knew I needed an easy transition back into the brown (golden) dry climate of my home state.
