Thwap!

I can hardly wait to see it! Also, saw the preview for Vanity Fair. That's in the queue, too.

I never saw the first Spiderman. I never read the comic book either. But after watching the Vanity Fair clip, and seeing recommendations for ArachnoDude Deux and Vanity Fair in the same blog, I can only conclude you're "trying to steer me toward an indiscretion." Is Spidey II a chick flick?

"You won't do anything brave, will you?"

Someone get the spoon off my gag reflex. My morning coffee's ruined!

The first one was so good, I'm surprised that many are saying this one's even better.

Dean-I haven't "seen" you here for so long (I drop by the wife's place frequently- love that woman!)- thanks for stopping by :)

I have read several reviews saying that while it is difficult to make a sequel as good as the original, they really pull it off with Spidey 2. I think this is one was the first movie I ever saw Kirsten Dunst in (besides Little Women) that I actually thought she was able to be "in character." She keeps playing the same roles over and over. I think she has potential, but that she needs something to really stretch her, ala Charlize Theron in Monster (Which I haven't seen, but of which I read many positive reviews).

Honestly, I see the same reviews, and I know what's going to happen... we're going to go rent Spiderman (one) and see it for the first time (don't ask me why we haven't already seen it), and then go see SM2.

I thought Shrek 2 was as good if not better. I laughed all the way through it.

But I hear only great reviews about SM2.

Sidebar: My wife didn't appreciate my candor about Vanity Fair. I told her that aside from the ornate costumes and decor, there was absolutely nothing in that trailer that made me want to see it. "It's a chick flick."

"But you like chick flicks..."

"Yes, but that one is totally Chick, in the same way Rambo is totally Dude."

Rae: I get around. :-)

"Round, round get around,
I get around.
Get around
Round, round, I get around."

Sorry, Dean, I couldn't help myself.
