Brrrrrrr! (Thanks, Patrick.)
Pass the hot chocolate, my blanket, slippers, and my stack of books.
Posted by Rae at October 26, 2004 12:37 PMShouldn’t that be “Brrrrrrrr?” :-P
Posted by: Patrick at October 26, 2004 05:01 PMHey Rae! It's me! I can't wait untill May [graduation] so that I can snuggle up with hot chocolate and a book!
I keep on buying new books knowing that I have no time right now to read them! Have you read The Poissonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver? I think you would like it!
I'll write more often, I promise!!
I like it when it is cold at night. Nice in my cage with the woodchips. Hungry now.
Posted by: Chub at October 26, 2004 07:43 PM"Ann"- yes! I read the summer Katie was born. It was incredibly moving. Now, if I decide I want a diamond (and I am not sure that I ever will want one), I will make certain it isn't one from the continent of Africa.
I love it that you two are reading the blog :D Makes me feel like we have little conversations.
Posted by: Rae at October 26, 2004 07:46 PMChub- glad you aren't freezing to death...
Posted by: Rae at October 26, 2004 07:47 PMGood Evening my Fair Sister,
In response to your shopaholic tendencies i wanted to let you know that i recently found the bag i got you from Barcelona on a Global Shopping Hotlist in Wallpaper magazine. I couldn't have blown more than 30 euros on that piece of crap, and now they are like 85 euros (that's like a hundred bucks). www.demano.net
Just lettin you know that you're a global trend setter. love ya peace out homegirl
i thought mr. snotty pants at the KOS would appreciate this one.
Posted by: Nick at October 26, 2004 10:16 PMTravis and I read the Poisonwood Bible out loud to each other about five years ago. We were so into it that the night that we finished it, we stayed up until 3 am! Although it was a great read, I thought it was depressing at the end. Course that means I didn't like it as I like a happy ending and that means you would probably love it Rae! Miss minor key music woman.
Posted by: Kris at October 27, 2004 07:31 AMKris, I'm not sure how I feel about the fact that you and your husband read a book aloud to each other.
Posted by: Patrick at October 27, 2004 04:05 PMPatrick, I thought it was so romantic and very cool that they read that one together.
Posted by: Rae at October 27, 2004 06:43 PMBro- you are the global trendsetter as you were the one who purchased it for me (thoughtful man that you are). I do rather enjoy the fact that an accessory that I own is actually increased in value...
"Mr. Snotty Pants"- perfect!
Btw, the girls and I played "word of the day" (remember that one?). We stealthily decided that the word would be any version of hello (Hi, Hello, Hey, Hola) knowing it would be the first word out of R's mouth. It was such fun to shout "Ahhhhhhhh" when he greeted us.
Posted by: Rae at October 27, 2004 06:55 PMPatrick,
Hmmmm, let me set up the scene so you can have a better view...
I am nursing an infant and can't be away from her for very long. Travis and I have five little ones at this time. We can't afford cable at this time. We can't afford to get a babysitter and go out. We want to do something for entertainment and we want it to be a shared experience...
Also, I am an audio learner; Travis is a visual learner. I love to be read to and have wonderful memories of it from when I was a child and the teacher at school would read aloud to the class...
Sooo, Travis and I check out the book from the library and I cross-stitch while he reads to me! It is an awesome shared experience.
Okay, forget all of the above; I was really just using him so I could multi-task...
Btw, how are you man? I think of you whenever I see someone wearing Sevens.
